Our approach
We believe all successful government relations and public policy is a form of organizational risk mitigation.
Anticipate: Governments are based on complex systems that follow predictable cycles. Politicians are human beings, and therefore, predictable. By identifying risks before they occur, your organization can implement a proactive–rather than reactive–approach to government relations and public policy.
Interpret: Governments make decisions every hour of every day. Do you know the implications each of these decisions have for your organization? When the government makes a decision, interpreting “why it matters” is critical.
Mitigate: Action can happen before, during, or after a government decision is made. Once you anticipate and interpret political risks for your organization, you’ll need to determine next steps based on your desired objectives. This might mean lobbying or some combination of collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications.

Government relations is a legitimate, regulated activity that helps organizations achieve their objectives. We have a zero-tolerance policy for unethical or illegal tactics or behaviours from our team or our clients. We comply with all lobbying legislation and do not propose solutions that could jeopardize the reputation of our practice or our clients.

Your organizational objectives should guide your government relations objectives. We work with clients that have a clear organizational strategic plan and ensure our government relations plans align. We develop one or two, realistic, achievable goals with government priorities that feed into your organizational priorities.
